This secondary drive replacement gear for the BOSCH® Classic motor fixes a very common problem of this motor generation: The breakage of the POM gear. BOSCH® handled this problem for many years by providing a free goodwill replacement, but to our knowledge never worked out an alternative solution. Years ago, we set out on a search and developed and tested various versions made of a wide variety of plastics, tooth shapes and design types. However, a long road with many setbacks ultimately led to this mature product, which we sell successfully since mid-2019.

Material properties:
PA6 (polyamide 6)
This high-molecular-weight thermoplastic is a popular material for machining with CNC lathes and milling machines. In addition to its good machinability, the material offers very good sliding properties and a very high abrasion resistance. Properties that make it an optimal material for use in the BOSCH Classic motor. Our competitors’ alternative products use 3D printing, which is in no way comparable to this gear wheel, which is milled from solid material.
