MudStop© 2.0
A bearing protection cover has been designed to offer a better level of protection than the Bosch bearing “seal” cover.
The MudStop cover fits behind the front sprocket providing excellent protection for
the main motor bearing in the Bosch Active and Performance Line / CX motors.
The MudStop cover fully shields the main motor bearing and fits over the outside of the right hand motor cover, making an effective barrier against mud, dust, grit and water. This can effectively prolong the life of the main motor bearing.

Why should I achieve better sealing for my Bosch® motor?
The motors fulfill the protection class "IP54" for normal daily use.
(we have serviced flawless motors with more than 15,000 km mileage)
For extreme use in wet and muddy environments and frequent cleaning with water it makes sense to retrofit the engines with the MudStop© 2.0.
What color is the MudStop© 2.0?
During the development phase, the first prototypes were manufactured in white,
We supply the MudStop© 2.0 in black.
Why are there two versions for different motor colors?
The older silver motor cover has a slightly larger internal dimension. To ensure optimum sealing, we supply you with the MUDSTOP that exactly matches your motor model - please select the appropriate option.
What does the MudStop© 2.0 really do for the engine?
The MudStop© 2.0 is very precisely matched to the housing of the BOSCH engine.
Its cover shape provides a high level of protection against the ingress of foreign matter
and liquids from entering the bearings.
How is a MudStop© 2.0 fitted to a BOSCH® engine, is it difficult?
It's very simple: after first taking care to remove the drive pinion, you need to remove the original protection ring (if present) and fit the MudStop© 2.0 only on the engine cover.
Please note: If you have the original Bosch motor covers a slight alteration is required.
